The Italian National teams are ready for Sauze d’Oulx!

Last weekend, at 2 weeks from the Enduro event of the year, the best Superenduro Italian riders have gathered in Sauze d’Oulx to give a first taste at the Special Stages of the Nations Trophy that is going to be held precisely the 6th -7th of August.
In addition to help the organizers with any changes at the tracks, the gathering was also a training day for the 9 riders that will be part of the 3 Italian National Teams selected by the Superenduro staff: the Italian champion Andrea Bruno, Davide Sottocornola and Marco Rodolico (Italy 1); Vittorio Gambirasio, Alex Lupato and Manuel Ducci (Italy 2); Simone Lanteri, Ronni Rossi and David Niccolai (Italiy 3).

At the end of the day there is a consensus among all: “At a first look the tracks seem not so treacherous, but due to the lengh, definitely not to be underestimated.”
Some sections of the trails, immersed in the green pine forests, are similar to the ones of last year, while new sections are designed to stretch the race and give more “rhythm” at medium speed. The terrain is a high-mountain one, dusty and friable when dry in conditions (like Sunday), but slippery and insidious with rain!
The pedaled sections will be alternate by the use of the lifts that will help the riders to reach high-altitudes, with a significantly extension of the time of the race.

In addition to the athletes effort also the bikes will be under pressure, the race is going to be a nice test for all the brands. Therefore be sure to check on tires, shocks, forks, wheels, telescopic seat and all the components of your bike.
A lot of motivation and enthusiasm has accompanied the guys during the practice day, they took turns at the lead of the group, trying to do a good rhythm on each session…. the toughest are the guys on the team Italy 1 either for results and experience, but …. not to underestimate the other 6 athletes who will battle strongly!
See you in Sauze!
